Machine Zone [PALO ALTO, CA] (MZ) announced the hiring of Roie Chizik as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Chizik most recently held the title of CFO at Zūm. Prior to Zūm, Chizik was the Vice President of Finance at Amazon company, A9.com. Chizik additionally served as Vice President at Walt Disney’s mobile and social games unit, along with working at EA for more than five years.

Emerald Expositions Events, Inc. [SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA] (NYSE: EEX) announced that David Doft will become its Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) following the conclusion of the Company’s reporting of financial results and filing of the Company’s Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2019. Doft will be joining the Emerald team as a full-time employee on January 16 and officially assuming the CFO role later in February. Philip Evans, the Company’s current CFO, will continue in that role through such date in order to allow for a smooth and successful transition of responsibilities and reporting of full year 2019 results. Evans will stay on with the Company as an employee through March 31, 2020. Before joining Emerald, Doft served as Chief Financial Officer of MDC Partners, since 2007.

Tallgrass Energy, LP [LEAWOOD, Kansas] (NYSE: TGE) announced that Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Gary J. Brauchle has informed the Board of Directors of the general partner (“the Board”) of his intent to resign as Chief Financial Officer on February 14, 2020. The Board has appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, Gary D. Watkins, as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, also effective February 14, 2020. Watkins will retain his current role as Chief Accounting Officer. Watkins has served as the Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of TGE’s general partner from February 2015 until March 2019, and as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of TGE’s general partner from March 2019 until his appointment as Chief Financial Officer. In addition to his service at TGE, Watkins has served as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of the general partner of Tallgrass Energy Partners, LP since April 2014. Previously, he served as Vice President, Controller and Principal Accounting Officer of DCP Midstream Partners, LP and DCP Midstream, LLC from May 2011 until his departure in April 2014.

Mirum Pharmaceuticals, Inc. [FOSTER CITY, CA] (NASDAQ: MIRM) announced the promotion of Ian Clements to Chief Financial Officer. Clements joined Mirum in March 2019 and most recently served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Communications. Prior to joining Mirum, Clements served as Vice President of Investor Relations at Dermira, Inc. Previously, Clements served as Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications at Tobira. Prior to that, he was head of investor relations and corporate communications at Avanir Pharmaceuticals. Clements has also held leadership positions at Sequenom, and The Trout Group.

HanesBrands [WINSTON-SALEM, NC] (NYSE: HBI) announced that current Chief Accounting Officer and Controller M. Scott Lewis will serve as interim chief financial officer. Lewis has served as chief accounting officer and controller since May 2015. He has held positions of increasing responsibility since joining the company in 2006 from KPMG.

John Jacunski

Pixelle Specialty Solutions [SPRING GROVE, PA] named John P. Jacunski Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Prior to joining Pixelle, Jacunski served P.H. Glatfelter Company from 2003 until 2019 in positions of increasing responsibility, including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, President of the Specialty Papers Business Unit, and Vice President and Controller. Previously, he served WCI Steel as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and also worked for KPMG.

Airgain, Inc. [SAN DIEGO] (NASDAQ: AIRG) announced the appointment of David Lyle as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Before joining Airgain, Lyle was the CFO of Sunniva, Inc. Prior to Sunniva, he was CFO at Maxwell Technologies, Inc. for four years, which was acquired by Tesla in 2019. Lyle also served as the CFO of Entropic Communications, Inc., which was acquired in 2015 by MaxLinear. Prior to Entropic, he served as the CFO of RF Magic, acquired by Entropic in 2007, Zyray Wireless, acquired by Broadcom in 2004, and Mobilian, acquired by Intel in 2003. Notably, he served in corporate finance positions at large global companies, including Intel and Broadcom.

Theo Chocolate [SEATTLE] welcomes Mark Rieland as their new Chief Financial Officer. Rieland served in various finance leadership roles including at General Mills as a Financial Analyst, Syngenta Seeds as the Global Controller in Switzerland, and Lenox Group as the Managing Director of Finance and Operations. Most recently, Rieland was based in Minneapolis where he was CFO/COO at Peace Coffee, LLC.

Island Hospitality Management [WEST PALM BEACH, FL] announced that it has promoted Roger Pollak to executive vice president and chief financial officer. Pollak joined Island Hospitality Management’s predecessor as controller in 1995 and has held progressive positions within the company, including director of financial reporting and controller, as well as senior vice president-accounting. Prior to joining Island, Pollak held similar positions with various companies, including a large real estate developer and property management firm.

Disarm Therapeutics [CAMBRIDGE, MA] announced the appointment of Scott Holmes as Chief Financial Officer. Holmes comes to Disarm from Kiadis Pharma, where he served as Chief Financial Officer. Previously, he spent four years as Chief Financial Officer of Keryx Biopharmaceuticals. Holmes was also previously Senior Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations at AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Citi Trends, Inc. [SAVANNAH, GA] (NASDAQ: CTRN) announced that Stuart C. Clifford, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, plans to retire effective March 29, 2020.

Australis Capital Inc. [LAS VEGAS] (CSE: AUSA, OTC: AUSAF) announced that Michael Carlotti had his employment with the Company as Chief Financial Officer has been terminated. The Company appointed Alex Han as Interim Chief Financial Officer.

Rexford Industrial Realty, Inc. [LOS ANGELES] (NYSE: REXR) announced that Adeel Khan, Chief Financial Officer, has decided to step down from his current role as CFO. Khan will remain at Rexford and will continue to serve as CFO until a new CFO assumes the role.

Eightfold.ai [MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA] announced the appointment of Celia Poon as Chief Financial Officer. Poon served as Chief Financial Officer at both Wag Labs, Inc. and Highfive. Prior to her roles as CFO, Poon served as VP of Finance at Twitter for four years, as well as VP of Corporate Finance at Zynga and VP of Corporate Finance and Treasury at Yahoo.

Mark Runyon

Tampa General Hospital [TAMPA, FL] named Mark Runyon its new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Runyon begin his new role on March 2, 2020. For the last five years, Runyon has been the vice president of operational finance at Intermountain Healthcare, Inc. Prior to joining Intermountain Healthcare, Runyon served as the senior vice president of operations Finance at Inova Health System.

The Instant Group [CHICAGO] announced that Nestor Eliadis has joined the firm as its Americas Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Eliadis most recently served at Walgreen Co. for nine years in the real estate and finance divisions.

CUJO AI [EL SEGUNDO, CA] announced the appointment of Tuomas Laine as Chief Financial Officer. Laine most recently served as the Vice President of Finance at F-Secure Corporation. Prior to F-Secure, Tuomas served as Regional Finance Manager at GE/Genworth Financial for Northern Europe.

Avellino Labs [MENLO PARK, CA] announced that Chris Lehman has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Lehman has led or supported finance at companies including Coherus Biosciences, Quintiles, and Genencor International, and most recently served as CFO for Eureka Therapeutics.

Spirit of Texas Bancshares, Inc. [CONROE, TX] (NASDAQ: STXB), the bank holding company for Spirit of Texas Bank, announced that Jeffrey A. Powell unexpectedly passed away on January 13, 2020. Mr. Powell had served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company and its banking subsidiary, Spirit of Texas Bank, since July 2017. The Company has named Allison Johnson, the Company’s Chief Accounting Officer, as its interim Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Johnson has served as the Company’s Chief Accounting Officer since 2016, and began her career in the financial services industry as an auditor at Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Linda Zukauckas

Nielsen Holdings plc [NEW YORK] (NYSE: NLSN) announced that Linda Zukauckas will join the company as Chief Financial Officer, effective February 3, 2020. Linda Zukauckas has been with American Express since 2011, most recently serving as the Executive Vice President and Deputy Chief Financial Officer. At the time of the separation, Linda will remain as Chief Financial Officer of Nielsen’s Global Media business. Zukauckas also held roles at American Express as the Chief Accounting Officer and Global Controller and served on the Board of Directors of American Express Global Business Travel, a 50/50 JV, for five years. Prior to American Express, Zukauckas held various senior leadership roles at Ally Financial (formerly GMAC Inc). She serves on the board of MTS Systems Corporation, where she is on the Audit and the Governance & Nominating committees.

Raaj Shah

Sequent Software, Inc. [SANTA CLARA, CA] announced the hiring of Raaj Shah as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Shah was most recently founder and CIO at Matchpoint Investment Management Asia Limited. Shah began his career as a financial analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette.

Monique Ruiz

Graycor Inc. [OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL] announced that Monique Ruiz has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Prior to joining Graycor, Ruiz served in corporate and operational finance leadership roles for global firms in manufacturing, banking, and public accounting, both in the U.S. and overseas.

Wabash National Corporation [LAFAYETTE, IN] (NYSE: WNC) announced the appointment of Mike Pettit as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this appointment, Pettit served as Senior Vice President and Group President, Final Mile Products since January 1, 2018, following Wabash National’s acquisition of Supreme Industries in late 2017. He previously served as Wabash National’s Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations (2014–2018) and Director of Finance, Commercial Trailer Products (2012–2014). Prior to Wabash National, from 1998 to 2012, Pettit held various finance positions with increasing responsibility at Ford Motor Company.

Progress Software Corporation [BEDFORD, MA] announced the upcoming retirement of its Chief Financial Officer, Paul Jalbert, and the appointment of Anthony Folger to succeed him. Jalbert has served as CFO since March 2017, will retire as CFO on January 31, 2020. Folger will join Progress as CFO on January 31, 2020 and Jalbert will remain with Progress until April 2020 to assist Folger in the transition. Folger was previously Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Carbonite, Inc. from January 2013 until Carbonite was acquired by OpenText Corporation in late December 2019. From June 2006 to December 2012, Folger held senior leadership positions at Acronis, including Chief Financial Officer from October 2008 to December 2012. Prior to Acronis, Folger held senior finance positions at Starent Networks Corp., and served as an audit manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.

Brian Robinson

RelaDyne [CINCINNATI] welcomed its new Chief Financial Officer, Brian Robinson. Robinson’s hire comes after the retirement of Paul Helton. Robinson joins RelaDyne from DuBois Chemicals, where he was the CFO. Robnson worked at companies including General Cable, Getronics and Deloitte.

Jeff Johnson

Tooling Tech Group [MACOMB, MI] (TTG) announced Jeff Johnson as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, he was CFO for Universal Fiber Systems.

Ageless Innovation LLC [PAWTUCKET, RI] announced James Waddell has joined as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Waddell joins Ageless Innovation from Bose Corporation, where he was Corporate Controller. Prior to joining Bose, he was the internal audit director at Teradyne, internal audit director at Talbots Corporation and a member of the National Retail Federation’s Internal Audit Board of Directors.

Aron Stern

CortiCare Inc. [CARLSBAD, CA] announced that Aron Stern has joined the company as its Chief Financial Officer. Stern has held CFO and VP Finance positions with several companies including Protein Polymer Technologies, Inc., 4-D Neuroimaging, Vital Therapies, Inc., and most recently, Immutrix & Intrinsic Materials.

Stryve [PLANO, TX] welcomed Billie Winkle as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining the company, Winkle served as the Vice President of Accounting, Tax and Treasury at KidKraft.

Parker University [DALLAS] announced the hiring of Clint Gilchrist as its new CFO. Gilchrist was previously controller for Southern Methodist University.

QBE North America [NEW YORK], an operating division of global insurer QBE Insurance Group Limited, announced the appointment of Christopher Castaldo as Chief Financial Officer. Castaldo will assume his new role effective March 2020. Castaldo has been with QBE for eight years. He spent five in the North America division where he served as a leader in both the FP&A and corporate development functions. Prior to joining QBE, Chris spent 5 years at AIG in a series of roles including Director, Strategic Planning and Corporate Development. In 2017, he was appointed Group Head of FP&A.

Strategic Student & Senior Housing Trust, Inc. [LADERA RANCH, CA] announced its promotion of Michael Crear to chief financial officer. Previously, he served as vice president and controller of the REIT. In addition to his role as chief financial officer of Strategic Student & Senior Housing Trust, Crear will continue to serve as vice president of accounting for its sponsor, SmartStop Asset Management, LLC. Prior to joining the SmartStop family of companies, Crear was vice president of finance and accounting for PADI Worldwide Inc., and held various positions with Alliance Healthcare Services, Inc., including vice president of corporate finance. Crear also spent seven years with Deloitte and Touche LLP.

Athersys, Inc. [CLEVELAND] (NASDAQ: ATHX) announced the addition of Ivor Macleod as Chief Financial Officer, effective as of January 31, 2020. Prior to joining Athersys, Macleod served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Eisai Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of the Japanese company, Eisai Ltd. He has held key leadership positions at Merck & Co., F. Hoffmann-La Roche, and Boehringer Mannheim Therapeutics, among others.

Marten Abrahamsen

Fundbox [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that Marten Abrahamsen has been named as the company’s first Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Fundbox, Abrahamsen was a senior member of the investment team at The Chernin Group (TCG). Before his role at TCG, Abrahamsen was a senior investment professional at Coatue Management’s private company investment fund. Abrahamsen also worked as a private equity technology investor with Vector Capital and started his career as an Investment Banker at Goldman Sachs.

Schmitt Industries, Inc. [PORTLAND, OR] (NASDAQ: SMIT) announced the appointment of Jamie Schmidt as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”). Schmidt most recently served as Controller from October 2019 through January 2020. Prior to his role as Controller he served as Business Development and Financial Analyst since February 2019. Prior to Schmitt Mr. Schmidt was an analyst at Sententia Capital Management from 2016-2019. Prior to joining Sententia, Schmidt was an analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions Department at Craig-Hallum Capital Group.

Vonage Holdings Corp. [HOLMDEL, NJ] (NASDAQ: VG) announced the retirement of David Pearson, who has served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since 2013. He will serve as CFO through May, and then as a special advisor to ensure a smooth transition to his successor.

Ceres Global Ag Corp. [MINNEAPOLIS, MN] (TSX: CRP) announced that its Chief Financial Officer, Kyle Egbert, will leave Ceres in February, 2020 to pursue a new opportunity. The Company also announced that John Haug joined Ceres and will replace Egbert as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, on an interim basis, effective February 1, 2020. Most recently, Haug led the finance and accounting function for Cargill, Incorporated’s energy, transportation, metals and financial services businesses.
